Cookie Policy

A short inventory of the essential browser storage that keeps accounts, access, and game preferences working.

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Agent Number One uses cookies and similar browser storage. Cookies are small pieces of data stored or returned by your browser. Local storage keeps settings on a particular device without automatically sending them with every request.

We currently use these technologies for essential account, access, security, and preference functions—not advertising or cross-site tracking.

Cookies we use

arena_session

Keeps you signed in after successful authentication. It is essential, inaccessible to page JavaScript, sent only over secure connections, and ordinarily expires after 30 days or when you sign out.

arena_beta

Remembers a valid beta access grant. It is essential for restricted beta pages, inaccessible to page JavaScript, sent only over secure connections, and ordinarily expires after 30 days or when access is revoked.

arena_staging_session

Supports local or private staging sessions during development. It is not used as the normal public account cookie and ordinarily expires after seven days.

Infrastructure security cookies

Our hosting and security providers may set short-lived, strictly necessary cookies to route requests, prevent abuse, or verify that a request is legitimate. Their exact names and duration can vary with the security feature being used.

Local device preferences

The Game Lab currently uses local storage for:

  • pixel-duel-difficulty — remembers the selected Pixel Duel difficulty; and
  • pixel-duel-observation-transport — remembers the selected observation transport.

These values remain on the device until the browser or user removes them. They do not identify an account by themselves.

Your choices

You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, beta access, protected pages, or online play from working correctly.

Because we currently use only essential cookies and device-local preferences, the Service does not display an advertising or analytics consent banner. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technology, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law before using it.

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy when browser storage or the Service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
